Licenses and specializations

Getting a Light Aircraft Pilot Licence (LAPL) is the safest and most efficient way to become a pilot and fly all over Europe. LAPL allows you to fly with up to 3 passengers and aircraft up to 2000 kg. You can later upgrade this license in a PPL (Private Pilot License) if you wish.

The aim of the PPL(A) course is to train the student pilot to fly safely and efficiently under Visual Flight Rules. The privileges of the holder of a PPL(A) are to act without remuneration as Pilot In Comand.

CPL(A) with frozen ATPL(A)

Our program consists in a series of modular courses, designed according to EASA regulation in force, as to answer to the minimum requirements for successfully passing the 14 ATPL theoretical examination (so name it “Frozen ATPL”) and obtaining CPL(A)/IR MEP:

Night Rating

Night rating requires 5 hours of flight time at night, all on them flown on the DA-40 Diamond Star. This includes 3 hours of dual instruction, 1 hour of cross-country navigation of at least 50 km and 5 solo take-offs and 5 solo full-stop landings. We usually fly our night training flights out of Constanta Mihail Kogalniceanu Airport (LRCK).If you haven’t flown the DA-40 before, extra 7 hours ground training and 3.5 hours of dual flight are required.

Instrument Rating

The aim of the IR(A) modular flying training course is to train pilots to the level of proficiency necessary to operate airplanes under IFR and in IMC.

Flight Instructor

Flight Instructor rating course includes at least 125 Hrs of ground training (at least 35 hrs of Teaching and Learning Techniques) and at least 30 hours flying time all dual. The training program is conducted in accordance with the approved Training Manual in respect of EASA regulation in force. The duration of the course is 3-4 months.
